HYPERSHIFT

HYPERSHIFT is very early in development, and it's currently in prototype phase. Everything you see is subject to change!

In 2071, a dimensional gate has been opened thanks to recently perfected Hypershift technology, and the mechanical monsters known as Malfunctions have become a massive threat to mankind. However, there was hope, as the Hypershift Resistance force has been formed. Take control of Ichirou, as he embarks on a mission to close the gate between the human dimension and the machine dimension. He is not alone though, as he will be joined by fellow resistance force members on this dangerous and possibly deadly mission. With a rapidly increasing number of Malfunctions, and rebels from the machine dimension standing in the way, will the fate of mankind head towards a bright tomorrow, or towards artificial darkness?

SKILL ENCOURAGING COMBAT

HYPERSHIFT includes a combat system which is easy to learn and difficult to master, inspired by many stylish action games. The more you progress, the more combat potential you will discover. Each encounter will encourage you to use your entire arsenal, including many combos you can come up with, and several special moves such as counter, charger, launcher, crasher, etc.

ENGAGING STORY

In HYPERSHIFT, you will explore the upcoming fictional futuristic setting, as you follow Ichirou through his adventure where he develops friendships with his squadmates who will be on your side, where he does his best to protect everyone who he cares about, and as he fights his split personality which seeks revenge against the rebels who have harmed him in one way or another.

ELIMINATE EVERY THREAT ON SIGHT

During the journey, several Malfunctions will stand in your way. They might vary in looks or the way they attack, but they all have one goal in mind, and that is to replace humans with machines, even if it means that extermination is inevitable.  Along with them, some of the rebels will refuse to go down without a fight until one falls.

In this demo, you can get the first experience of the game's combat, and try out the level prototype where you can already fight one of the bosses to get the feeling of what to expect. The build also comes with a tutorial, and a practice mode so that you can perfect your combat skills.

Right Mouse/Y/Triangle - Heavy Attack

F/B/Circle - Guard/Parry

R/Pressed Right Analog Stick/R3 - Camera Reset

NOTES

- This game has been designed to be played with a controller, but you can also play it with mouse and keyboard, although some things might not work as intended with mouse and keyboard

- The reason why the level prototype is small is to keep the size of the game relatively small as I am figuring out how to optimize things

- WARNING: As this is a very early build, expect some bugs. If you find any bugs, let me know in the comments

- The characters are still not voiced, so you will only have SFX

- There is a tutorial level to learn the controls, but if you need a reminder, open the pause menu to view the moveset

- At the time of this build, the controls cannot be changed
